This is some of the information we have gathered in our quest to understand what happened to our 16 year old daughter Kaitlyn. There are no simple answers, but information now available, clearly warns others in our position, these drugs can cause suicidal behavior... Sadly it is taking hundreds of "Kaitlyns" to bring much of this information into public view. See for yourself, don't wait in line to "ask your doctor..." sometimes they only know what they are told...by the thousands of drug company sales reps that hound and shower them with Pharma Perks...(anyone disagree ???) Everyone has a story, some are painfully simple, some expose very clearly how a system put in place to protect the public ( FDA ) has been bought and paid for by the powerful drug companies and turned into a medical weapon of mass destruction, My daughter died as a result of this flaw in our system. Lots of efforts try to cloud the issue, and explain it was not the drugs...but we can tell you SSRIs are not for everyone, and anybody saying there is no proof they have caused suicide, can come and talk to Kathy and me about it. And i might add, we believe they have and do help many people and that is a good thing. It's hiding the bad things that is the problem. Hopefully truth will win out over corporate greed, but it's not looking good now, so they will wait for more deaths to provide the required proof... How many , drug company CEOs did it take to change the FDA wording of the black box warning? All of them ?

At least Pfizer can claim zoloft is # 1 and safe and effective ! They're not worried about the risks, why should you ? ...Did you notice that zoloft is #1 well tolerated and effective now ?, now it's #1 Perscribed...it keeps changing ! How about #1 most distructive , or #1 most profitable when perscribed off label to 16 year old girls ?
